| Environmental urban development permit - extra information | Urban development permit 2006: the repurposing and renovation of an existing two-family dwelling. The garage provided for in the permit was not built (this constitutes a violation). The new application for an environmental permit must comply with the current urban development regulations and the urban development mobility regulations of the city of Vilvoorde. See Environmental Permit - City of Vilvoorde. According to the urban development mobility regulations, the property is located in the core zone. In this zone, a multi-family dwelling is not required to provide parking spaces, but it is required to provide bicycle parking spaces (namely, two per residential unit for the first room and one per additional bedroom). Garage doors may not occupy more than 1/3 of the facade. The design must take this into account. The recommendation is therefore not to provide a garage, but only the necessary bicycle parking spaces for the two apartments. The design of the bicycle parking facility must comply with the design requirements as specified in Article 5 of the urban development regulations on mobility. The existing terrace canopy is also a violation and must be regularized. |
